Our mother, Doña Macrina, sold tacos at el crucero de Mezcales — the busy intersection at the heart of Mezcales, Nayarit, México. Asada, cabeza, lengua, fresh onion and cilantro, and salsas made with love. We grew up right beside her, learning what real food tastes like.

At 19, I came to the US with nothing but drive. Years of hard work and restaurant experience later, Tacos El Güero was born — built to honor her flavors, her simplicity, and her heart.
